Celestyal has unveiled its 2028 summer Mediterranean programme, marking a significant early positioning in the cruise market with 124 sailings now available for booking. This long-range planning signals robust confidence in sustained demand for Mediterranean cruise travel well into the future.

The programme, spanning from March to November 2028, will see Celestyal Journey and Celestyal Discovery operating round trip from Athens. The offerings include a diverse mix of itineraries, ranging from three to 14 nights, designed to cater to various passenger preferences from shorter Greek Islands escapes to comprehensive multi-country voyages.

Celestyal Journey will execute eight departures of the seven-night ‘Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia’ cruise, calling at Kefalonia, Kotor, Bari, Corfu, Katakolo, and including an overnight in Dubrovnik. It will also undertake 30 departures of the seven-night ‘Idyllic Greece’ itinerary, featuring Kusadasi (Ephesus), Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, and Milos. Additionally, 16 departures of the 14-night ‘Mediterranean Icons’ cruise will combine these two seven-night voyages.

This early announcement for 2028 provides crucial lead time for strategic operational planning, including vessel deployment, logistics, and crew scheduling. It also offers significant advantages for port authorities and local tourism sectors in destinations such as Dubrovnik, Kotor, Bari, Kusadasi, and numerous Greek islands, allowing for enhanced infrastructure and service preparations to accommodate the confirmed vessel calls.

By releasing its programme over two years in advance, Celestyal is proactively capturing future market share and de-risking capacity utilization. This approach enables the company to secure early bookings at established price points, with voyages starting from €789 per person for seven-night trips and €1,429 for the 14-night option, thereby strengthening its competitive stance in the region.
