Trust Score: 95

Copenhagen-headquartered product tanker owner TORM has substantially upgraded its full-year 2026 financial guidance, projecting record-level earnings driven by exceptional market strength and robust operational performance. The revised outlook reflects stronger-than-previously-anticipated earnings visibility across the product tanker market, extending into the fourth quarter.

TORM now forecasts full-year 2026 TCE (Time Charter Equivalent) in the range of USD 1,700 – 1,900 million, a significant increase from its prior guidance of USD 1,400 – 1,600 million. Similarly, full-year 2026 EBITDA is now expected to be between USD 1,300 – 1,500 million, up from the previous range of USD 1,000 – 1,200 million.

CEO Jacob Meldgaard attributed the upgrade to “Exceptional market strength and strong execution,” emphasizing that the company’s “scale and agility support our track record of market-leading performance.” This suggests TORM perceives its operational structure as a key differentiator in capitalizing on the favorable market conditions.

The revised guidance is underpinned by TORM’s current forward freight coverage and sustained strong conditions within the product tanker segment. This indicates not only a bullish outlook for the sector but also a proactive approach in securing future revenues that have proven more lucrative than initially projected.

TORM is scheduled to release its third quarter 2026 financial results on November 4, 2026, which will offer further insights into market developments and commercial performance during the period.
