Kickster Adds EUA RFQ to FuelEU Marketplace | Mariner News

Consultancy Kickster Group has integrated a European Union Allowance (EUA) request-for-quote (RFQ) service into its Kickster Fuel EU Marketplace, providing a streamlined mechanism for maritime companies to manage their EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) compliance alongside FuelEU Maritime obligations.

The new service allows registered users to solicit quotes for buying or selling EUAs directly through the platform. Transactions are facilitated via regulated intermediaries and are subject to standard Know Your Customer (KYC) and counterparty onboarding requirements.

This expansion centralizes a critical aspect of emissions compliance. Users can now assess their FuelEU Maritime and EU ETS exposure using Kickster’s integrated calculators, and then directly request EUA quotations within the same platform. This capability merges two distinct yet intertwined regulatory compliance pathways into a single digital environment.

The development simplifies the administrative burden for maritime companies navigating the complexities of both FuelEU Maritime pooling, which remains a core function, and the EU ETS. By offering an integrated solution, Kickster aims to provide a comprehensive hub for understanding and managing environmental compliance obligations.

Kickster initially launched the digital platform in March 2026, subsequently adding features such as market alerts and API access to live marketplace data. Pietro Valaguzza, CEO of Kickster Group, stated the objective is to simplify how maritime companies manage increasingly complex environmental compliance, acknowledging that users are simultaneously managing FuelEU and EU ETS exposure.
