Ahti Climate Integrates DNV Veracity for FuelEU Pooling | Mariner News
Finnish compliance service provider Ahti Climate has integrated its FuelEU pooling platform with DNV’s Veracity, establishing a direct data exchange designed to significantly streamline FuelEU Maritime compliance for shipowners and operators. This move aims to automate the transfer of verified emissions data, reducing manual work and improving reporting accuracy.
The integration allows fuel consumption data to be converted into the required OVD format and sent to DNV for verification through its Veracity platform. Once verified, the emissions figures are automatically transferred to Ahti’s FuelEU pooling platform. This seamless flow is expected to substantially reduce data entry, minimize reporting errors, and accelerate overall compliance processes.
Finnish shipping company Bore Ltd is among the users already leveraging this new system. The collaboration between a compliance service provider and a classification society’s verification platform signals a broader industry shift towards more integrated and verifiable data management for environmental regulations.
This development underscores a growing industry focus on leveraging connected digital platforms to manage complex environmental regulations. By automating data transfer and incorporating third-party verification directly into the compliance workflow, the integration not only reduces operational overhead but also enhances the integrity and reliability of reported emissions data, a critical aspect as regulatory scrutiny intensifies.
Risto-Juhani Kariranta, CEO of Ahti Climate, emphasized the focus on simplifying compliance for shipowners, stating, “verified data, connected systems, and one less thing for our customers to worry about.”
