Sulnox Signs Four-Year Fuel Deal with Spring Marine | Mariner News

Trust Score: 92

Fuel additive specialist Sulnox has secured a four-year supply agreement with Greek shipmanager Spring Marine Management for its Sulnox Eco fuel conditioner, covering at least 34 vessels and approximately 600,000 litres. The deal is further solidified by Spring Marine’s commitment to invest up to £1.1 million in Sulnox through new share subscriptions.

Spring Marine has reportedly utilised Sulnox Eco since 2023, observing average bunker fuel savings of about 5%. The shipmanager also cited improved engine efficiency and cleaner combustion components across its fleet.

Captain George Chondronikolas, General Manager of Spring Marine, affirmed the consistent and measurable benefits experienced over three years, highlighting not only fuel savings but also meaningful improvements in engine cleanliness, efficiency, and emissions performance.

This strategic investment by Spring Marine, subscribing for up to 2.75 million new shares, signals a deeper commitment beyond a standard commercial transaction. It positions the Greek shipmanager as a direct stakeholder in Sulnox’s success, reflecting strong confidence in the additive’s long-term operational and financial benefits for their fleet. For Sulnox, the agreement ensures long-term demand and strengthens its foothold in the competitive Greek shipping market, validated by a client’s significant financial backing.

The partnership underscores a growing trend among ship operators to explore and financially commit to technologies that offer tangible operational expenditure reductions and contribute to emissions performance amidst evolving regulatory and market pressures.
