DP World Opens New Bang Na Logistics Center in Thailand | Mariner News
DP World has expanded its contract logistics network in Thailand with the opening of a new 10,000-square-metre distribution center in Bang Na. This facility significantly bolsters the company’s landside capacity to manage high-value and time-sensitive cargo, directly supporting key manufacturing and consumer sectors in the region.
Strategically located within a modern industrial park in Bang Na, an established distribution hub in the Greater Bangkok metropolitan area, the center offers direct connectivity to Laem Chabang Port and the manufacturing hubs along Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). This linkage positions the facility as a critical node for integrated supply chain operations.
Operating around the clock, the distribution center provides storage and distribution services specifically for cargo such as consumer electronics, semiconductors, and automotive components. Its 24/7 operation aims to ensure critical inventory management and reliable flow across domestic and international supply chains.
The investment underscores DP World’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in the Asia Pacific logistics landscape by providing end-to-end solutions that bridge port operations with landside distribution. This integrated approach, particularly for high-value cargo destined for or originating from the EEC, offers customers streamlined logistics and aims to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness as a regional manufacturing and distribution hub. The move suggests a focus on capturing higher-value segments of the logistics chain, potentially driving more specialized cargo volumes through Laem Chabang.
