Yang Ming orders methanol-ready containerships

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation has reportedly placed a new order for three methanol dual-fuel-ready containerships, each capable of carrying 8,000 TEUs.

Specifically, the vessels will be built at Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan, with delivery expected between 2028 and 2029.

The new vessels will feature energy-efficient engines that are adaptable for future choice fuels.
