Worried retailers send container demand soaring

Retailers, particularly in the US, are stockpiling to such an extent that their procurement of goods is an essential part of the explanation for the sudden growth in containerized freight that began in early May, says Sea-Intelligence based on an analysis of stockpiling among retailers, importers and manufacturers.
