Uni-Fuels Renews ISCC Certification for Biofuel Supply | Mariner News

Trust Score: 30

Global bunker trading firm Uni-Fuels has successfully renewed its ISCC certification for its Singapore subsidiary, Uni-Fuels Pte Ltd, bolstering its commitment to sustainable biofuel bunker supply. This significant renewal underscores the company’s dedication to providing environmentally responsible fuel solutions for the maritime industry, meeting the growing demand for green shipping alternatives.

Reinforcing Sustainable Biofuel Supply

The renewed ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS certifications are a testament to Uni-Fuels’ adherence to rigorous sustainability standards. The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) system is globally recognized for ensuring traceability and environmental integrity across complex supply chains, including sustainable biofuels. Uni-Fuels first secured these vital certifications in February of the previous year and notably completed its inaugural ISCC-certified biofuel delivery in 2025, marking a key milestone in their green fuel journey.

Meeting Evolving Maritime Regulations

As the shipping sector faces increasingly stringent environmental regulations, such as the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and FuelEU Maritime, Uni-Fuels’ renewed ISCC certification positions them as a trusted provider of compliant and traceable sustainable marine fuels. Tan Guan Kai, Vice President of Operations, emphasized that this renewal reinforces their focus on delivering a robust and compliant fuel supply. Established in 2021, Uni-Fuels continues to serve major shipping hubs globally, including Singapore, offering crucial sustainable bunker fuels to support the industry’s decarbonization efforts.
