Motive Energy has been selected by Curtin Maritime to develop a crucial charging system for its upcoming fleet of electric tugboats operating at the Port of Los Angeles. Robust Charging Infrastructure for Port Operations
The installation will feature four powerful 1-megawatt chargers, specifically engineered for the rigorous demands and quick turnaround times of tugboat operations. A substantial 10-MWh battery system will also be integrated to optimize power management and bolster system reliability. This innovative infrastructure will be housed on a specialized barge connected to shore power, with future plans for solar generation.
