Meriaura, a specialist in demanding marine transportation, has ordered a new future-ready open deck carrier from Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard, slated for early 2028 delivery. This strategic acquisition will significantly bolster Meriaura’s capabilities for transporting complex and heavy project cargo, reinforcing its commitment to innovation within the short sea shipping market. The 6,800 dwt open deck carrier, measuring 120 meters long and 21.6 meters wide, is engineered for resilience. Designed in collaboration with Deltamarin Finland, it features Ice Class 1A certification and DP2 capability, ensuring reliable operations in diverse and demanding environmental conditions.
