Major European ports boosted by Red Sea crisis in first half-year

Seven of the 15 largest container ports in the EU benefited from double-digit percentage growth in cargo volumes in the first half of 2024, a report by Theo Notteboom, professor of port and maritime economics at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, finds.
