GTT, a leader in cryogenic containment systems, has announced significant contracts for the tank design for six LNG carriers, marking a pivotal moment for the global maritime industry. Securing Major Shipbuilding Contracts

The French specialist will design high-capacity tanks for these new generation vessels. Specifically, GTT will develop 174,000 m3 capacity tanks for two LNG carriers being constructed at Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard. Additionally, the company secured a separate order to design 175,000 m3 cryogenic tanks for four LNG carriers commissioned by Shandong Marine Energy, to be built at Jiangnan Shipyard. These diverse contracts highlight GTT’s versatile capabilities across different shipbuilding partners.

Boosting Future LNG Transport Capacity

All six of these state-of-the-art LNG vessels are anticipated to be delivered between the third quarter of 2028 and the fourth quarter of 2029. This substantial influx of new gas transport capacity will play a crucial role in meeting increasing global energy demands.
