Fluent Cargo has introduced a new AI-driven search feature named Ask Fluent that lets users query live logistics and transport data in natural language.
The new capability provides real-time access to Fluent Cargo’s platform data, covering shipping schedules, route options, container tracking, and market insights, and returns real-time results through a conversational interface.

Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
Fluent Cargo says the feature addresses limitations in existing solutions that rely on “static, out-of-date data” and therefore lack the real-time context needed for cargo operations.
Ask Fluent aims to enhance data-driven decision-making for logistics professionals, according to the company.
The feature uses Fluent Cargo’s five years of data standardisation, cleansing and routing methodology work. This allows users to pose “complex” logistics questions in plain language.
The cleaned and standardised data supports practical queries, such as locating schedules for shipments that must arrive by specified dates, said the company. It also factors in recent port calls to indicate whether vessels are operating to schedule.
Fluent Cargo CEO Archival Garcia said: “Whether I’m tracking a container, PO, Workorder, product type or BOL, I just want to simply ask the question and get an accurate answer.
“We’ve worked very hard on making our User Interface easily accessible but with the depth of the platform, users want faster access.”
Furthermore, Ask Fluent combines routing, scheduling, tracking, emissions monitoring, disruptions, and market pricing into a single interface.
Fluent Cargo also plans to add third-party logistics platform integrations, with aims for Ask Fluent to serve as a “centralised solution” that consolidates data and workflows from multiple systems customers already use.
Ask Fluent is accessible to current Fluent Cargo customers, with access levels set according to account capabilities.
Fluent Cargo CTO Andy Greig said: “Ask Fluent is not just chatbot technology – we’re providing timely information with context, which is fundamentally different from what currently exists in the market.
“Instead of jumping between ten different systems, users just need to know how to use a keyboard. Ask Fluent becomes the engine sitting in the middle of everything, with a powerful but simple interface that makes sense to everyone.”
In August this year, Fluent Cargo launched its Global Disruption Feed to address rising tariff volatility and unprecedented US seaborne container imports.
This feature offers a real-time intelligence service that keeps companies informed about global shipping route disruptions.
