DPA Kandla achieves Historic Milestone — crosses 150 MMT mark in cargo handling for FY 2024-25
India’s No. 1 Major Port: DPA has reclaimed the Numero Uno position among all Major Ports in the country.
Best Performer: Leading all India Major Ports with the highest cargo throughput.
Unmatched Growth: Achieved a 13% year-on-year growth rate, the highest among all Major Ports.
This monumental feat is a testament to the relentless efforts of the port’s leadership, employees, dock workers, trade unions, PPP operators and all stakeholders who have contributed to making DPA a beacon of operational excellence and national pride.
Celebrating the Milestone:
To commemorate this remarkable milestone, celebrations were held across multiple locations:
- A part of the celebration, port officials & employees gathered in a spirited atmosphere to acknowledge their hard work and shared success.
- As a mark of appreciation, around 4,500 workers and labourers were provided with food kits and essential daily-use items, ensuring that the milestone was shared with those who made it possible.
- Meals were also arranged for all worker & labours at the port, creating a sense of inclusion and camaraderie
These initiatives reflect DPA’s commitment to the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and reinforce its role as a crucial pillar in India’s maritime and economic growth.
