This significant leadership change comes as current Group President and CEO Remi Eriksen takes a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment. Interim Leadership Takes Helm at DNV
Knut Orbeck-Nilssen, currently serving as CEO of DNV’s vital maritime business area, will step into the interim Group President and CEO role from February 1 to August 31, 2026. This period allows Remi Eriksen to focus fully on his health and recovery. During Orbeck-Nilssen’s interim tenure, Cristina Saenz de Santa Maria, the chief operating officer of DNV’s maritime unit, will act as interim CEO for the division, ensuring continuous operational excellence within the shipping sector.
