DHL Global Forwarding and CMA CGM are significantly accelerating the decarbonization of ocean freight through a groundbreaking joint biofuel initiative. This strategic collaboration is set to revolutionize global container transport by dramatically reducing carbon emissions through the adoption of advanced sustainable marine fuels. Utilizing DHL’s GoGreen Plus service and CMA CGM’s ACT+ low-carbon transport offering, customers are now empowered to achieve substantial CO2 reductions across their international supply chains, marking a pivotal step towards greener logistics.
Advancing Sustainable Shipping with Biofuel
At the core of this initiative is the joint deployment of 8,990 metric tons of UCOME second-generation biofuel. This significant investment is projected to enable an impressive 25,000 metric tons of CO₂e well-to-wake emission reduction for ocean freight.
