Celestyal, the renowned cruise operator, recently concluded its most successful **Mediterranean and Adriatic cruise season** on record, reporting significant growth in passenger numbers and revenue. This remarkable achievement underscores the increasing demand for unique travel experiences across popular Greek Islands, Italy, and Croatia, solidifying Celestyal’s position in the regional cruise market.
Strong Growth Across Mediterranean Cruise Itineraries
The 2025 season saw Mediterranean passenger numbers climb by 4% and revenue surge by 10% compared to the previous year. Operating from April to November, the 1260-guest Celestyal Journey captivated guests with its ‘Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia’ and ‘Idyllic Greece’ voyages. Meanwhile, the 1360-guest Celestyal Discovery completed 69 departures of the beloved three and four-night ‘Iconic Greek Islands’ cruises, highlighting the appeal of short, immersive journeys.
Pioneering Sustainable Cruise Operations
A significant highlight of the season was Celestyal Discovery becoming the first cruise vessel in Greek waters to operate on a locally produced marine biofuel blend. This pioneering initiative successfully reduced CO₂ emissions by approximately 21%, showcasing Celestyal’s commitment to environmental stewardship and **sustainable cruising**. Both ships are now preparing for their winter season in the Arabian Gulf, extending their acclaimed service to new regions.
