Casablanca Cruise Port has officially commenced a new and exciting operational chapter, marking the start of its 2026 cruise season with the prestigious arrival of Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse on January 6th. This significant event signals the first cruise call under the expert management of Global Ports Holding (GPH), the world’s largest independent cruise port operator. This collaboration is set to elevate Casablanca’s standing as a premier global cruise destination.
Casablanca: A Thriving Regional Cruise Hub
The 2026 cruise season for Casablanca Cruise Port is projected to welcome over 100 cruise calls, with an anticipated 135,000 passengers. This robust forecast reflects burgeoning interest from cruise lines, positioning Casablanca as a pivotal regional hub. The port’s strategic advantage is enhanced by its close proximity to Mohammed V International Airport, ensuring seamless connectivity. Future rail connection plans promise even greater accessibility.
Modern Infrastructure for Enhanced Cruise Operations
Supporting this expansion is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art cruise terminal, a substantial €61.5 million investment. This development firmly establishes Casablanca as Morocco’s largest and most advanced cruise port. Designed to accommodate vessels up to 350 meters, the terminal boasts an impressive annual capacity of 450,000 passengers. Modern facilities and a 666-meter quay ensure efficient cruise operations.
