Birdon America, Inc. has proudly secured a firm fixed-price US Coast Guard contract to construct a Response Boat-Small (RB-S) Demonstrator. The RB-S Demonstrator program is pivotal for evaluating cutting-edge technologies crucial for various USCG missions. These include critical Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, Ports, Waterways, and Coastal Security (PWCS), as well as effective Drug Interdiction (DI) and Migrant Interdiction (MI). Birdon’s selected design meets stringent performance requirements, promising enhanced operational efficiency and crew safety for the Coast Guard’s demanding roles.
Birdon’s Commitment to Naval Innovation
Birdon will leverage its in-house rapid prototyping expertise to construct this advanced patrol boat demonstrator. Following its completion, the vessel will undergo a three-month operational evaluation period at designated USCG facilities in Norfolk, VA, or Charleston, SC.
