Arc Boat launches new all-electric centre console

Arc Boat has introduced its latest model, the Arc Coast, a 24ft all-electric centre console designed for contemporary boating needs.
The Los Angeles-based startup aims to modernise the boating experience with this new offering.
Traditionally, centre console boats have been favoured for activities such as fishing and social gatherings, however, they have often been hindered by noisy gas engines and inefficient layouts, according to Arc Boat.
The Arc Coast addresses these issues with a focus on innovation. It features a redesigned helm that combines navigation, diagnostics, and entertainment into a single touchscreen interface.
This modern approach allows for over-the-air software updates, enhancing the user experience long after the boat has been purchased.
The vessel is powered by a high-voltage battery system, which is also utilised in the Arc Sport model.
This system provides instant torque and silent acceleration, while also reducing maintenance requirements.
Arc stated that the strategy of reusing its electric platform and manufacturing key components in-house has enabled the company to transition from concept to production in less than a year.
The Arc Coast features an open deck layout that accommodates up to ten people, catering to diverse uses ranging from fishing to socialising.
Its electric motor is designed with a compact sterndrive, which allows for a full-beam swim platform and a spacious sunpad, maximising usable space at the waterline.
Arc co-founder and CEO Mitch Lee said: “People love center consoles, but the experience hasn’t improved.
“The Arc Coast is what you get when you start from scratch: all the benefits of quiet and powerful electric performance, powered by advanced software, and paired with an ownership experience free from many of the headaches common with today’s gas boats.”
Founded in 2021 by former aerospace and automotive engineers, Arc Boat Company is focused on the development of fully electric boats that offer power, precision, and zero emissions.
Last month, Arc Boat announced that it is entering the commercial sector by partnering with West Coast shipyard Diversified Marine to retrofit a 26ft tugboat for operations at the Port of Los Angeles.
