Tolson will succeed Constantinos Capetanakis of Starbulk, who has successfully expanded IBIA’s membership, particularly among bunker buyers, since April 2024. Complementing Tolson’s leadership, the IBIA board sees several other critical appointments. Jeroen de Vos, Global Head of Operations at Peninsula, steps into the Vice Chair position, while Mustafa Aslan, Chairman of Asmira Group, takes on the role of Honorary Treasurer. Additionally, new board members elected for three-year terms include Claudia Beumer (C4 Fuel), Gianmichele Campanella (Fratelli Cosulich Monaco), Calvin Chung (Chimbusco Pan Nation), and consultant Nigel Draffin.
